A 2015 prototype that became the reference directory.
DiscordInvites was born as union.ovh, written by Vince for his own server. Ten years, two developers and three versions later, the platform lists French-speaking Discord communities and helps them get noticed.
Ten years, five steps
The project changed its name once, its architecture three times, and never changed its team.
union.ovh, for a single server
Vince writes a page to list his own server and his friends'. No accounts, no votes: a hand-maintained list, in PHP, hosted on a .ovh domain. It lays the groundwork for everything that follows, including ranking by activity.

The project gets its name
Vince meets LarchitecT, who was building X-BOT, a Discord bot with over 300 commands. They merge their work: union.ovh becomes DiscordInvites, with accounts, an invite bot and a first directory open to everyone.

Version 2, rewritten from scratch
New architecture, redesigned interface, full server pages. V2 turns the site from a list into a platform: search, categories, tags and detailed listings.

Votes, statistics and promotion
Bumps, daily votes and DCoins arrive, along with the first audience statistics for owners. Rankings become the heart of the site.
Version 3
Complete overhaul of the interface and back-end: emoji, sound and sticker explorer, duels, giveaways, sponsorship per thousand impressions and an owner dashboard.

2 founders, 0 volunteers
Nobody is paid. The site runs on votes, premium and sponsorship.
Three principles
Ranking can't be bought
Votes and activity decide positions. Premium and sponsorship add visibility labelled as such, never ranking points.
Numbers are verifiable
Members, votes, impressions: everything shown comes from the bot or the server, and every owner finds their own counters in their dashboard.
Ten years of continuity
Same team since 2016, no buyout, no data resale. Changes are announced in the changelog before going live.
Your server deserves to be found.
Listing is free and takes two minutes. The bot joins your server and the numbers update on their own.
